A lot of traffic lights in Canada have delays built in when the red light comes on. It's the easiest way for each province to protect us from ourselves. Have no issue with traffic cameras and the ticketing that results from this. We all push the envelope, and when caught, are actually miffed, go figure.

Red light cameras seem to have greater acceptance than speed cameras. I thought the latter was more of "their thing", so to speak.
