[Sunday night Ramblings]

If another company is on the verge of making a higher bid, I suppose we might see them start to purchase shares in the open market soon, since the next week will be their last chance before the tender offer builds up steam. All fingers crossed, I hope it's a very interesting week ahead. If I had to go out on a limb, my bet is Motorola or Lucent Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Of the two, Motorola stands to lose a lot of R&D momentum to a big chip competitor, and they already have ties to Amati, so they nudge out Lucent for my number 1 guess.
