Clownbuck, I've no definite preference between these two gold stocks. I chose ABX because of its size and geographical diversity. I started with GG, and decided I would just add another to diversify in a beat-down sector. I also hold a few penny-stock gold mining shares which aren't doing very well.

Hi Clownbuck. I was reading an article on the relationship between gold mining stocks and the price of bullion, something called K value. I can't locate the article now, but the gist was that the time to buy is when the K value is at a low, which it is at this time, but the article went on to relate that April is typically a negative month for gold and gold mining stocks but May on the other hand has been very rewarding.

re NEM @52.3$ - got a first batch today. This is probably my first gold mine stock purchase since the 80's (those did not end well as I remember).
