For more than 10 years, Intel has been played with by Microsoft as MS switches its operating Systems to operate on non-Intel processors - NT, CE, Set-Top Boxes, etc.

With Java, Intel now has a small lever to use against Microsoft - Imagine a "Javatel" world, dominated by Sun and Intel? Bill Gates would not be happy about such an outcome.

Javatel - doesn't sound as good as Wintel, but with enough practice...
