That's mostly what I was thinking about. We don't use nearly as many helfire missiles in peacetime. You can get an aweful lot of 5.56 for the cost of an AGM-114.

OTOH pulling out of Iraq and Afghanistan doesn't mean we stop using guided missiles. Presumably there would still be the predator attacks against Al Qaeda targets.
