I didn't see the show, but I'm confused anyway. Was this a quote from the show?
"A surprisingly small number of those plastic bottles are actually recycled, but a new technology might find a new use for them."
I see it on the linked website, but if it refers to soda bottles made from PETE I have a problem. It was my understanding that, at least in NY, JBI isn't authorized to process "those plastic bottles". Am I right about that? Was the processing of recyclable household PETE actually emphasized in the show?

From the Air Facility Permit:
JBI will carefully review potential sources of recycle
grade plastic for use as a raw material feedstock. This
material will be acquired from the industrial market
place. Plastic types which have been determined to be
acceptable for utilization as feedstock include:
Polypropylene (PP), Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE), and
High Density Polyethylene (HDPE).
