And Obama is the man to make it happen. He understand better than you how important good jobs are.

Ted,
pls read the article I posted RW on Obama and Congress' recent Jobs Act. These guys are all clowns. They think jobs are created by loosening regulations. Decisions like getting rid of the tough mark to market FASB rule and now this cesspool of a Jobs Act are attacks on regulation, thinking that giving crony capitalists even more room to maneuver is a recipe for more jobs. Nothing could be further from the truth.

If you were paying attention......or at least making an attempt at paying attention, you would know that the above is a lot of smoke. Obama has been trying to creat jobs through infrastructure improvements, seeding new industries, funding the research of new products and supporting existing industries. He is encouraging a lowering of the corp rate while closing tax loopholes.....to improve tax revenues while letting the little guy practice on a more level playing field. He has hardly been MIA on this issue.

You guys talk a lot about how the GOP is full of idiots because they want to destroy government and regulations so they can act with impunity. But then when Obama loosens regulations, does not faithfully execute his office in prosecuting the criminals, and sweeps all the wrong doing by banks under the rug, you all give him a pass.

I criticize him where I think the criticism is warranted. Frequently, that means I don't agree with you. I think as much as you criticize the Rs you still think like an R............and frankly, I think there is enough info in now that R economics don't work very well.........and only benefit the rich.

And yes, there are a lot of idiots in the GOP. Its a shame what that party has become.

I am one of the few who have been steadfast and consistent in this one theme. We need strong regulations. We need a small, but effective government that is willing to do the hard work of prosecuting the criminals and putting them in jail. We need a President that is willing to confront the crony capitalists and their fundamental corruption, not just sweep the issue under the rug in the interests "moving forward, not look backward".

And a lot of new regulations have been passed..........could there have been more? Sure, but we are fighting a difficult GOP who doesn't want to do anything to hurt their benefactors.

You talk like Obama is a dictator and not the president of a democracy.

In short, we need fewer wars, a smaller war machine, but MORE financial regulations and a larger corporate governance regime. This Jobs Act isn't a jobs creator. It's a license for crony capitalists to loot even more from the carcass of our economy.

And Obama is ending the wars..........and very careful not to engage in any new ones [see Libya].
