I remember even back in the late 90s I was at Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas and there were below ground level restaurants where you could see fish, including sharks all around while you ate. Above ground there were walkways lounges, chairs etc and little signs that read do not enter sharks. The pools seen from above were the same seen in the "aquarium" below.

I recall thinking they could never just have a sign in America that read "Sharks do not enter".
