Jon,

I don't see what you are doing is any riskier than my strategies. I tend to trade in more volatile companies with share prices that can easily go up/down 10% in a day (ATPG and IOC). A lot of risk playing these two.

I also like that you occasionally post trades and wish more here would do it. It's not so much the profit/loss I'm interested in but instead the entry and exit points.

Jon, you may have too much education for your own good! You spent a lot of time digging through ATPGs financials and footnotes where I looked mostly at the calendar, the officers' ages and their stakes (already knowing their penchant for raising money and lines of credit) to conclude that near-month at the time was safe and that the next write of puts would be a function of premium and price, not whether there might be imminent collapse of the company. But I do not write puts on ATPG during hurricane season!
