If I remember correctly, back in the early nineties, as a response to action by CalPERS, AMD put its compensation structure entirely in the hands of independent directors. Does anyone know if this is still the case? It does account for such a hefty portion of Sander's pay being performance based (options). But if this is indeed the case I'm not sure how Sanders repriced his own options.

Hay Carl, good to hear from you now that your not busy answering your Intel margin calls. Here is a proposition for you. Grove and Jerry should swap option plans. That should just about make Jerry even for all the Grove greif Jerry had to put up with. Here is a perdiction for you Slate will be out of business as a discontinued operation footnote at Microsoft. Right now you and Alfred E. Newman are the only two guy's I know that reads the crap they cyberprint. And Newman's not worried like you are!

Carl,
Re -- Jerry Sanders...

Jerry, must be really laughing and having a good time at the expense of the poor AMD investors.

I can just see him saying "go on.. give me your money"
