Kristol would rather have us talk about porn and contraception, no doubt.

Well, I had a different opinion of Romney's victory speech last night.

I thought it was outstanding, and I especially appreciated that rather than trash his opponents, he trashed the the enemy in the White House. The person most of us want defeated in November.

I totally agree with Kristol.

The problem with our country isn't the failing economy. That's just a symptom of the fact that our freedoms are systematically being usurped. If our economic system were set up the way the Founders intended -- especially with the prohibition of government interference in the private sector -- none of what ails us would be happening. Too many politicians (Romney included) are focused on attacking the symptoms and ignoring the cancer.

Earlier in the week, Rick Santorum was crucified in the media (FoxNews included) for saying that he doesn't care about the unemployment figures; he cares about the lack of economic freedom, and the burdensome regulations, which are causing the high unemployment (and the myriad of other economic/fiscal problems that ail us).

Romney, for the first time, mentioned 'economic freedom' not once but three times in his victory speech last night, and he is receiving major plaudits today.

Go figure.
