Yeah, no joke .... Where I live, the neighbors would have burned the building down on top of his child-killing arse! Then, the police would probably determine lightning struck the place... LOL

The French do have a flair for drama .... and drag things out in order to achieve it.

And their military ... well, I had a French paratrooper challenge me to a drinking contest one night. When I left the party, he was passed out in the goldfish pond in the back yard. I drove myself home, and really didn't feel that was too dangerous to do. Next afternoon, he was waiting outside my gate for me when I got home, and right then and there pulled off his rank insignia, his airborne qualification badge and his burgundy beret, and gave them to me, saying I had earned them the night before. I took them, shook his offered hand .... and invited him in for a drink. He just smiled and walked away ..... saying 'another day' over his shoulder. We actually became pretty good friends, and I ended up introducing him to the woman he later married. I still have the things he gave me. LOL

Yep, that radical islamic terrorist would already be in jail or dead here.

04.38 French website Rue89 has created a useful Googlemap of the area with placemarks to show the positions of police, journalists, and where street lighting has been cut.

The red mark is where suspect Mohammed Merah is hiding, the blue points are the positions of the police and the aqua coloured placemarks are where journalists are stationed. The area in dark grey shows where street lighting has been turned off.

04.01 The blasts are becoming pretty regular now, with several explosions every 45 minutes of so. Still no word on what the gunman is doing.
