>>Some users have reported that wireless reception with their new iPad is notably inferior than with Apple's previous iPad models.<<

I will be able to do a comparison between an iPad 2 and my new one when my friend returns from a vacation. In the meantime, I'll do some checking from various points in this house. I can compare the signal strength on my MacBook Pro and my iPhone. I'm going to see if I can find a WiFi finder app that might help, too.

Will report on my findings.

If this problem is real and widespread, and not fixable by a software update, it will be pretty serious, I think.
