Anyone else read the WSJ 11/17/97 article, "Chip, Software Giants Don't Rule Joystick of Graphics" ? It suggest that neither Intel nor Mircosoft are at this time "dominating the business (3D graphics) with its own products." It notes that expectations existed regarding that 3D chip from Lockheed Martin/Chips & Technology Inc. But where is it ?

According to the article (very good indeed, worth looking for) the big boys are watching as others weigh in with their 3D chips/boards. Now I haven't been following the movements of Intel nor Microsoft but according to the article both have 3D chip theories (chip designs too ?) and hasn't Intel proposed a buy of Chips&Tech. ? But according to the article thats on review. Anyway, to me the article suggest a delay in 3D chip from the big guys. How could that delay, if it really is a delay, affect MCRE stock price ? Got me. But I wonder if the two add up ? Any thoughts ?

This stock is really annoying! A month or two ago, we had huge rises on massive volume; there were million share days in the high teens!! Now all the volume has dried up, and the stock's drifting back down to where it began. Huge volume on the run-up; practically no volume on the downward moves. It's like the stock drops from attrition... it's basically a lack of buying rather than selling.

So where did all those people go who poured money into MCRE at 17, 18, 19?? Why did the stock do that giant spike?? Was it all meaningless? Hard to believe it could have all been just betting on the quarterly results... if that were it, and those people were all bailing now, there would have been a lot more volume over the past month.

Anybody got any clues?? (No, I don't think insider selling has anything to do with it).
