tea party may have light voter turnout, which may mean they do not take more seats in house and senate.

I don't believe this to be true. Maybe two or three tea partiers will stay home out of protest, but the vast majority of tea partiers are politically aware and politically active. Further, they are politically motivated to get Obama out of office.

If tea partiers show their frustration by saying they will stay home, I think it will end there. I expect that the turn out rate for tea partiers will be higher than most other groups.

If they did stay home it would be a classic case of cutting off their nose to spite their collective faces.

Tea Party citizens will vote in droves. They want a conservative Senate and a conservative House.
