I think that there will be a lot of protest votes at the primaries. But I think they will all come together in November. Too much is riding on this. And contrary to liberal stereotypes, tea partiers are on the more intelligent end of the spectrum.

The first part of your sentence could be true of the Ron Paul faction, but TP members will vote for conservative candidates running for the Senate and the House.

They might cast a self-defeating protest vote for a spoiler candidate, but they will vote.
