"the habit of blabber mouth is strong !" He and Bumrock are too lazy and weak to search for the truth. So they deny the gifts of mind and life and embrace the thinking of barbarians from thousands of years ago. Once the people (who stoned to death an old man because he gathered sticks on the wrong day) died, and left their profound thoughts on genocide, chosen people, tribal superiority, etc.--all new knowledge and progressed came to a grinding halt. ALL DONE! No more thinking required! Science is Stupid! Evolution sucks! No matter how ugly and how subhuman or anti-rights the bible is..it does not matter. Because the bible is true. It says so!
