I believe Santorum is far too easily bated by the left and spoon fed "issues" that he inevitably defends. Otherwise he isn't a bad guy, but now has the appearance of a controlling individual who hasn't a problem enforcing his social or religious beliefs on people. The democrats only wish he won the primary and would face Obama.

This has become a sad state of affairs with blame to go around everywhere. His comment was way over the line and in bad taste. It will surely be used by the left in an attempt to sway voters.

‘If you're going to be a little different, we might as well stay with what we have instead of taking a risk with what may be the Etch-A-Sketch candidate of the future.’

Conservatives had such a great opportunity this cycle but no decent conservative can get past the great wall of the GOP.

I read the transcript of Santorum's speech, and thought it was really good. As you pointed out, the treatment that he's getting from the media on both the right and the left is really a crime. Santorum goes out and makes a thoughtful and powerful speech on freedom vs. dependency and all the media talks about are his religious views. It’s curious how we never hear them asking Romney whether he’s wearing his "magic underwear" tonight or not. Of course not; They’re holding all mention of whether Mormonism is a cult for the general election.

As many have been saying all along, the media and the left want Obama to run against Romney, because he’ll be so easy to take out. Unfortunately, the Republican Elite are walking right into the trap, as usual. We don’t call them the "Stupid Party" for nothing.

I don't even get to vote until May 8th, but I'm keeping busy researching all the candidates for state and local offices, and U.S. Congress (Neither of my senators are up for re-election this cycle). IMHO, control of the Senate is even more important than control of the white house at this point.

The parallels between Romneycare and Obamacare are a big issue with a lot of voters and that is why many of them don't trust Romney. But it doesn't matter that Santorum's words were unfortunate.......his campaign is now toast.

Because he mis-spoke, the liberal media and GOP elite are now in destroy Rick Santorum mode and they will be very successful.
