Bill, I would hope you could come to feel better about Romney as a president. The man has a life time record of success and management skill. The nominating process has done great destruction to us - but Obama and Hillary somehow survived their joust.

Our nation desperately needs a manager who knows simply how to manage as opposed to the dufus we have now. If Romney can win it would imply a Republican House and Senate. If we self destruct over how "conservative" he is we could wind up with the return of Nancy.

A Republican House should guarantee a conservative mode of government. A return of Nancy - well - we could all just bend over and kiss our sorry butts good bye.

Bob

I don't agree with your characterization of the candidates. I do see problems, and you have a point to be considered, but none of them are as bad as you are saying. And ALL of them are vastly better than Obama.

Happy to see you join the club Bill. I've been feeling this way since the last election. I looked back at what the GOP has done as far as nominees go and it makes me cringe. I am hearing horror stories about the process here in Wa state and how repubs have manipulated delegates........eliminated some, erased names and inserted their own choices, reduced choices on the platform and not included things some people want included. Caved to the liberal governor on the primary. The list goes on and on. Politics is nasty and the GOP isn't above it all. Behind the scenes they're doing things I'd expect out of Soviet Russia.

"I'm really starting to question my belief in and defense of the Republican party."

Pawlenty may have been boring and he didn't catch fire, but 'timid?'

Perry turned out to be a lousy debater, but he's not stupid.

Bachmann is not possessed.

Cain may or may not have had an affair with that last woman who came forward, but most of those charges were bogus.

Huntsman may have only (unwisely) acted liberal.

Gingrich, despite some mistakes along the way, has a long record as a conservative standard bearer. He organized the Republican takeover of Congress, stopped Hillarycare, and set the table for balancing the budget.

Lastly, Santorum is not crazy.

It seems to me you've got a grudge against anyone not named Mitt Romney. It really is weird to see Romneyites effectively working with the left to destroy every candidate but Mitt. Considering you said your insurance costs had gone up 250% (?) since Romneycare that is hard to figure.
