Yep. My sweet kind mother saw that so clearly and it enraged her her whole life, and she passed that perception on to me.

I wonder how I would have faired in life had I not had her mentoring? And she grrew up in abject poverty one of 12 children and the last one.

I know many blacks that have succeeded through hard work and education. It is there for all. If nothing else the GI bill will get a person an education if they have no other options for funding.
