One of the biggest bears I follow believes STX works to $60 over next 18 months. I have tried to get in here but sharp moves have made it hard. I am short Aug or Sept $22 puts outright. Small position though. I look at all my un-executed trades over last 2-3 months and lots of potential profits not made. You have to hit the bid on this one in my experience. There are now essentially WDC and STX. They have 80-90% of mkt now.

At least for a while. Plus STX picked up Samsung's HDD business. Consensus for 2013 is over $8/share.

S&P noted: We expect (HDD) prices to remain at elevated levels, as STX signed long-term agreements with major PC OEMs. Additionally, we think the acquisition of Samsung Electronics' hard disk drive business will increase STX's production capacity by about 33%.
