Man, I'd hate to be one of my black coworkers, being worried about getting shot any time they wander into a neighborhood they "don't belong in." Or one of my East Indian coworkers for that matter. On the other hand, if I'm dealing in illegal narcotics, then that's a much different story, regardless of whether I think they should be legalized or not. In no way am I taking a position that Trayvon wasn't an unfortunate incident. But it was no more unfortunate than having overzealous cops burst in and shoot someone dead without cause. The Trayvon situation is a rarity. The murder of a mere suspect, an unarmed one at that, happens nearly every day in this country because of the outrageous way in which our individual liberties have been taken from us in the name of ridding the country of marijuana smokers. You really need to open your eyes and understand what these drug laws are doing to our country. Kids (and adults) are being killed in this country because of illegality of drugs -- some of which are harmful only by virtue of being prohibited. The fact that Obama, a left wing extremist, is afraid to touch the drug laws, ought to give you some idea of just how out of control law enforcement is on this issue. They love the slush funds from drug seizures and will do ANYTHING to get that money. And drug dealers, with no legal recourse, commit murder over which corner they're going to stand in to sell dope. Now comes Santorum telling people he's going to regulate the Internet? These damned republicans have just about gotten on my last nerve.
