TVIX had a hefty premium over VIX index before Credit Swiss closed for new shares. Now it is being deflated toward its "true" value. This is just my hunch. It also "helps" that the VIX fear effect is "killed" by QEx. Everybody buys into this global liquidity tsunami. The crux is being lifted ever after until it crashes. I played TVIX/UVXY/VXX for awhile. It's not fun for a small fish like me:^)
