And here is why the English folks find what has happened here as baffling. The racists are rushing to the defense of Zimmerman saying he had a bloody nose ignoring the fact that it was he would went against the advice of the 911 person to not follow Trayvon. I find the first two paragraphs of this from "The Guardian" very shocking.

I think the gun laws in this country are insane. England has much different gun laws. We should follow England's lead on this issue. BTW, that's not very Republican of me, is it?

What is even more disconcerting is the encouragement of vigilantism along with the growth of gun armament in this country. To me, whether Zimmerman was a racist or not is not the important issue in this case. Its the fact that his natural need to act as a vigilante was encouraged and promoted by that law in FL.
