Amen! But there have always been people who want to rule over others, from the time humankind set foot on this earth. They achieve that goal by vastly different means, but the goal is always there in the minds of a few. Elevate them to positions of power and you have what we're facing today.

I've always done my best to follow the Golden Rule. On the internet, it can be interpreted as pretend friendship. Some people don't like it if you are friendly to them but express disagreement with their ideas elsewhere and they find out about it.
