Thank you for your reply, Jim. Do you know if SPY is based on the S&P-100 (OEX), or the broader S&P-500 (SPX) ?

Looks like a good way for newbie index traders (like me) to buy and sell the market (index) just like a stock, without the extra risk (or reward) of index options.
