I was a cub scout for about 6 months when I got thrown out for something. Can't remember what, I've been thrown out of so many things I can't what i did each time

No, just a cub scout for a very brief period of time. My fondest memory was when I shaped this block of shapeless wood into an incredibly lean and mean racing machine for the Pinewood Derby. I painted it red, tested it out, and couldn't wait until I got to race it. My father drives me to the event, I'm all excited, I race out of the car into the strangely vacant parking lot, the doors are locked... it had been held the previous night. That's a true story.

I obviously was scarred for life by this and quit scouting shortly thereafter. Like you, I took up drinking (beer), smoking (cigars), and women (really just one at that age, but the stained shirt in the wilderness before dinner-with-her-parents story is worth telling one day). Wait, what were we talking about again?

I seem to recall somehow achieving some awarding involving an eagle or something like that. Although I seem to remember more having a deep loathing of about half the other boys in the troop.

I guess maybe it prepared me to stay focused even when dealing with large groups of clowns.
