Yeah, must be the same ... except that:

- Toyota didn't go bankrupt during the recession
- Japanese union workers aren't as lazy or demanding as their American counterparts
- Toyota doesn't get any special subsidies from the American government to manufacture and sell in America
- Japanese government intervention didn't do anything to prevent the "Lost Decade."

Still want to pretend that a $40,000 plug-in hybrid makes more economic sense than a $27,000 Prius (and that's after the huge dealer markup)?
