He was clearly outmatched by the young thug

OTOH, if he had not been armed he probably would not have taken it as far as he did. The 911 operator kept telling him to back off.

Not at all. I guess I could have used a better word choice.

Neighborhood watch volunteers are not trained to intervene, and in that respect I think Zimmerman was off base.

Unlike Obama, I don't rush to judgments about Zimmerman or Tayvon either. I don't think we know enough about either to know if Tayvon actually threatened Zimmerman or Zimmerman just jumped the gun (No pun).

I think this whole case has been blown out of shape and proportion by the media.

Certainly they have mischaracterized both Zimmerman and Tayvon. I don't know what to believe, and I'm not about to condemn anyone except Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and their ilk who are trying to start a new race war over this.

Judging from the photograph, Zimmerman is no more white than Obama is. It's an absurd situation, headed for even more tragedy if people don't come to their senses. If they have any to begin with, that is.

Are you saying it would have been preferable that Zimmerman be beaten to death possibly? If he were not carrying, that was a possibility. He was clearly outmatched by the young thug.
