The racial aspect is impossible to judge without further information. The mere fact it was a black and a 'white hispanic' (as the media is calling Zimmerman) doesn't necessarily support the racial theory, and doesn't rule it out.

I think everyone needs to calm down and let the process work. I appears the Feds are going to Florida with a mindset of charging Zimerman with something, rather than going with an open mind. Just as I would not want to see anyone harmed in any way because of their race, I also don't want to see Zimmerman convicted on some trumped up charge(s) by over-zealous Federal agents.

Neither one is fair. A trumped up charge, though, goes beyond the personal feelings of just the people involved .. a trumped up charge would mean the personal feelings were over ridden by 'institutional' unfairness.

All I am saying is that racial hatred could have played an important part in trayvon's pent up rage against zimmerman's following him.
