I guess that's when the gold bars come in. Let's see, that was food, gold bars, and one other thing. What was that third thing? Your post indicated Dave Ramsey said food and ammo…not gold bars. Maybe there is something about gold in hand. I have read a book or 2 about small family farmers in Germany bartering food for gold and silver jewelry and silverware in the 30s and early 40s. They did very well selling the precious metals later after the currency (then the Reichsmark) had collapsed and was worthless..
