So far, as near as I can see, is the Doc spends more of their time on the computer, than actually examining the patient.... and I don't believe for an instant, that the computer will make HC any cheaper. If anything, it will make it more expensive.

We all heard that computers would make a paperless office, didn't we? AFAICS, the paper hasn't gone away....its multiplied.

Technology changes. Thus making all the past data useless, unless everything is laboriously converted to the new. Who knows what floppy disks were? And are they still used? Is there any technology that can get the info from them ....and get it cheaply and converted? Ditto with Zip Discs.....and all the Etcs....

When computerization is fully realized, ALL your personal background will become the property of the US Government....and if Obama gets his way....the property of the World Government....
