*******OT********* Oh, brother. Do I really have to get into this? Sigh.... John Westergaard, in an effort to win sympathy from readers, wistfully wonders aloud in a vulnerable, childlike fashion, why SI posters fail to pay him any heed. How touching. The so-called "sister" site of Westergaard.com is WBN, the Westergaard Broadcasting Network. WBN offers "analysis" of its "member affiliates" as well as assisting them in their public relations. As stated in a disclaimer burried in the WBN site, <<WBN publishes investment information and analysis via Internet "cyberstations" leased for a fee to WBN Member Affiliates. These stations provide a full range of services and editorial material designed to assist investors in making informed investment decisions. Stations are managed by WBN's staff of Editors and Senior Associates. >> Westergaard divvies up its sites so that it makes it more difficult to determine the fact that many of the companies it discusses pay Westergaard for various services- IMO, the way the suite of sites is set up is vaguely reminiscent of money laundering (although of course in this case the money is obtained legally). BTW, another sister site of Westergaard is dedicated to discussion of Y2K. You can take that piece of information either way, depending on what you think of the valuations of companies in the millenium bug industry. In a well known case to members of SI , a critic of Premier Laser Systems (ticker symbol: PLSIA) was targeted by Westergaard by laying out a monetary "bounty" for any information that would lead to the poster's identity. (Those who truly have nothing better to do should be able to find a thread specifically dedicated to that hubbub by searching under "Pluvia"). Westergaard's ad hominem attack on Pluvia was a calculated attempt to silence negative comments aimed at one of Westergaard's sponsoring "affiliates". Westergaard judged that the best way to react to the critical comments of a private individual was by intimidation; he failed in that case, as he progressively backed off his initial, more aggressive claims. This behavior alone was sufficient to earn him the disapprobation of many readers. These are some of the reasons I referred to Westergaard.com as a hype site. Perhaps "paid tout" would have been more accurate. As for having "vision", I have no idea what you are talking about. FWIW, I think Zonagen has remarkable "vision", and I am particularly interested in their work in the area of fertility, which of course is years away from "fruition" (pun intended). And your ridiculous non sequitor regarding Bill Gates etc., is lost on me. But non sequitors are to be expected from practitioners of the art of rhetoric. BTW, nice use of the diminutive of "Anaxagoras" to belittle an interlocutor, "Westie". In any event, your righteous indignation will no doubt get some eyeballs to your site, which is really what you're interested in- why don't you drop a few more URLs on the boards to direct readers your way? I've got a better idea; let's talk about Zonagen and it's stock, hmmmmm? Thanks- this was fun, but I've had enough for now. Good day. Anaxagoras PS- look up the expression "hatchet job" in your Websters and then look up the word "pejorative" and tell me how you can say that calling something a hatchet job isn't pejorative? Pathetic twisting of truth. Let me help you out. pejorative: "having negative conotations ;...tending to disparage" hatchet job: "a forceful or malicious verbal attack"
