Off-topic: Off-topic posts & JS

Personally, I think the off-topic posts contribute to a sense of "community" in the thread, but do really appreciate them being labeled accordingly so if I'm browsing through the headers, I can skip the ones I don't want to read.

Perhaps the side-thread idea (can't remember what it was called) would be a solution that would please more people?

I do have a problem with Frank being treated the way he is simply for expressing his opinion. That's not really characteristic of this thread outside of a small group of people.

Speaking of which, I agree that JS has contributed quite a bit to the thread, but only if we're counting number of messages typed. He has made some occasional valuable contributions, but they've been far outweighed by messages that subtract from the value of the thread, IMO. Not the first time he's been booted, and if he comes back at all, it sure won't be the last time.

I've lobbied before for his return to the thread only to be embarassed for having done so. Won't be making that mistake again.

Not a popular opinion, but it's mine and I'm entitled to it.

And, while I'm off-topic, how's 'bout them CHIEFS! <g>
