That characterization is almost verbatim from a crack addict ..... and I just thought it was a good summarization of the truth. The process can be complicated, and the path filled with pitfalls. If one puts as much effort into quitting as they did to get their dope .. they can quit, and just as no one could stop them from getting their dope, no one can stop them quitting..... At least in my opinion. I surely can not ever take credit for getting anyone to stop using, but I sure hope the ones who did can say I provided them with the opportunity to stop. Some of them, multiple opportunities... Working with addicts can sure be a frustrating job ... but being an addict is much more frustrating.
