Bart, what am I supposed to be envious of in regard to you? I know it's immodest, but I have no problem at all in being wrong. I spend a lot of time investigating and thinking to try to avoid being wrong, but of course it's not possible to avoid being wrong many times. One of the points of having discussions and reading SI is to be warned of false thinking and thereby avoid personal blunder and cost. Some people, you know who you are, are more interested in avoiding having to change their minds in the face of reasoned discussion. They let their egos get tangled up with their temporary positions. As example of me changing my mind, in part due to warnings here, and I name TJ, I bailed out of a load of QCOM way back at the beginning of the 21st century to avoid personal financial disaster. Successfully. Those unwilling to change their minds would go down with the ship. If you come up some rational commentary, I'll turn on a dime. I even went to see about buying lumps of gold at $323 per ounce and decided against it. And the answer has nothing much to do with anything. If I named any country, so what? Suppose it's Australia? So? Suppose it's USA? What can you conclude extra from that? The point of your question puzzles me. Your obsessiveness about it is more interesting than the question itself.
