The deregulation was one of the best political decision in recent decades in the US. Before deregulation if the airlines wanted to change where they flew or how much they charged, they had to get permission from the government. It lead to a very inflexible and very expensive airline industry and most people rarely took flights because they where two expensive. Don't be dense, Tim. The airline industry is a mess made worse by deregulation. Flying has become a nightmare for most Americans. I don't know of anyone not in first class who looks forward to taking a flight. Like on most subjects, the conservative take on transportation is screwed up. Your ideology needs a total revision.
