Dawkins spews provincial suppositions to a provincial audience. He doesn't have a clue. Well that's a timely statement but harken to the good news , he will be replaced soon enough. By 10's of 1000's of the newest generations of athropologists & biologists from every civilized nation , sharing & adding new data to that expanding continuum of research . Perhaps it is all just happening by chance , willy nilly wind along the waste but that doesn't stop us from wondering & trying to fathom more , at least some of us . Its a riddle within a mystery hidden inside a paradox but you have to get something out of all this breathing , right ? When you really wish to understand a little part of the meaning of "life" , try a simple experiment of holding your breath for 5mins ... or not eating for 5 days . Then expand that thought experiment outwards & inwards and you come up with all kinds of things that are of immediate, interrelated ongoing significance for you & for understanding for others . Lot of people are choking & barely keeping heads above water in this world & it either gets better or it gets worse, place your bets . One imagines that even aliens must enjoy freedoms & essentials too ...
