Ah yes, Ken Follet or Tom Clancy------do we have a novel here ? This statement of Obama's on the hot mike has a couple of messages here--------taken in the literal context it appears that Obama is saying to Medvedey and Vladmir that he will win the election-----and then we can really talk, and I can give you what you want. Taken in another context, reading between the lines-------"This is my last election." Could this be that O knows that he will lose the election.-------that this is the last election in which he will run for Potus and lose? Then he goes on to state "After my election I have more flexibility." I.e. When I am no longer the titular President "we can really talk and I can give Putin what he wants." In other words what did O really say? Hot Mike? As reported on the hot mike: "President Obama: This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility. President Medvedev: I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir."
