AngloGold Ashanti Ltd. Common S (AU) -NYSE

My last buy on AU was 7/2008 @ $25.44. My most recent transaction was a sell on 2/28/2012 at $43.18/share. I hold several different gold and natural resource stocks in the portfolio as a hedge against inflation. They include, AU, AAUKY, AGPPY,VALE, & GFI. I am not too familiar w/ the current valuations other than that each owns a lot of reserves. There have been labor issues, different proposed resource "taxes", flooding and/or drought that have impacted production and EPS.

I have generally been peeling off shares when they have approached highs and/or I feel that it's a good time to move some funds into other resource type companies (in most cases into Oil and E&P companies). AU is one I have held shares in for many years. The dividend payments for all of those above are important considerations for me too.

Hope that helps.
