Even when you're right, it's hard to give bad news without either being ridiculed or being alarming. Sometimes that means bad news has to be softened for a warning to achieve the desired result.

Beck is an autodidact more than willing to go where the evidence leads him. Combine that with his apocalyptic streak, and he winds up in some strange places. Sometime's he right, but I wouldn't trust his judgement.
