TomLF; RE:" AMZN, gap down! Shorting it? "

No. I don't like to sell short into a window gap-down: it's at the friggin' short term target :-(

Well, we learned two things, Tom.

First, the Candlesticks worked perfectly. Second, the optimum time to take a position would have been at the end-of-day on the day of the confirming candlestick. I guess one has to be ruthlessly mechanical, blocking out the fact that it was Friday, and all the other news and stuff going on. Just act when you get the confirmation signal, and be confident that you will be right more often than wrong, which is moe than anyone can ask.

IF AMZN fills that window, I may enter a SS by selling into any strength. Tempting but usually not good to sell into weakness. Lesson Learned! (^_^)
