Franco,

I wish you all the best tomorrow. We will reread your post
in a few months, and we shall both have a good laugh.

Here are my predictions, you will be hammered.

Still wishing you all the best. Even tomorrow.

Paul

Franco,

Sorry to say, but the only thing we Dellheads are nervous about is who will get the shirt? Sorry you had trouble getting your order in, you missed buying the best computer on the market today.

I am always in touch with Dell, I get e-mails back, I call them no problem. Of course, the net sales are over $3 mil. now which means others don't seem to have a problem either.

Yup, we are going to have a fine report.

Re: "They will have a difficult conference call as concerning margins ... ...They may even announce that they are seriously considering entering the sub 1000$ computer arena."

Do yourself a favor and stay out of the stock market. You seem
to have a negative business intellect coefficient.

One of my predictions: Michael Dell will emphatically state
that they have no intention of persuing the sub $1000 PC.

Re: "I went to their web site to order and found the prices
to be way out in left field."

This also shows you know nothing about PC's or how to compare
feature sets. Care to post specifics?

Franco, From both mine and my friends/co-workers' experience, Dell has by far the best quality/service. As far as the sub-$1000, you get what you pay for...Next Christmas, a lot of gullible consumers who dished out over $1000, with monitor, for these CPQ/Cyrix machines will want to upgrade and can't, and then wished they had spent the extra hundreds of dollar to buy a Dell PII system. PII will be everywhere next Christmas, Socket 7 systems will be dead, and where will that leave Dell: in the best OEM position to sell PII systems/servers/laptops...
