I got the three inch. Got that one as a trade off between too light/too heavy and distance accuracy versus additional ease of use. A longer barrel can become tangled in something pretty easily when you need it most. I had a buddy who worked in the county sheriff's office as a deputy. He wore a Judge on the days he was detailed to transport/escort prisoners from the jail to the courtroom. After a while, he just wore it every day, and carried a small 9mm with him in an ankle holster as backup.
