To evaluate Obama, a better way is to compare his achievements to Bush’s. The highlights of Bush's 8 years are: 1. 911 [Lorne] Bill clinton had handed to him by other countries I believe 3 to take bin laden into custody...he refused. [Ben] Since you brought up Bill Cliton … Cliton had surplus …. and Bush? 2. Started the Iraq war with false intel [Lorne] The information was faulty and other countries believed the same information check out what president clinton and other hi level democrats said and believed. and I believe it was a democrat controlled congress that agreed to attack Iraq..is that correct? [Ben] The majority of Americans were fooled but Bush had one vote could stop the war, but he didn’t. Instead, he initiated. 3. Bin Laden and terrorists were in large [Lorne] I assume you meant " at large "? in any case President bush went after bin laden and when it was determined that bin laden was no longer in Afghanistan the war there was scaled back to something more like a rebuilding process..i think President Bush realized that A war in Afghanistan was not winnable..as obama is now learning. [Ben] Bush didn’t win the terrorist war. Obama is winning it. 4. Stock market crashed [Lorne] Why? Housing crash maybe? [Ben] Stock market at one time was in the 6,000. Now is back to 13,000. Stock market reflects the country health index. 5. Housing crashed [Lorne] At least President Bush and other top Republicans tried to warn America about corruption by freddie mack and fannie mae but the were stopped and ridiculed by democratic controlled congress and senate..this information is available if you choose to search for it. [Ben] Same as the stock market, the housing market reflects the country health index. 6. Other countries saw America as a bully [Lorne] Moslum countries saw America this way and unfortunately liberal media promoted this in attempt to bring down President Bush [Ben] Not just the Muslim countries saw the bully, Europeans and Asians shared the same view. You ought to talk to foreigners. The highlights of Obama's 4 years are: 1. Finished Iraq war [Lorne] He finished nothing and may well have turned over control of Iraq to Iran Radical moslums. What a stupid and very awful thing for obama to do. [Ben] America shouldn’t be in Iraq in the first place. Iraq belongs to Iranian people. 2. Killed Bin Laden, and kept terrorists at bay [Lorne] obama did no such thing...Brave Navy Seals carried out orders from their leaders. And information that lead to bin laden came from President Bush administration...I you recall hussein obama wanted to prosecute those very people that led his administration to bin laden. again this is an accomplishment of President Bush....obama will take credit for anything that may get him a few more votes. [Ben] You may say Bush didn’t invade Iraq, it was the American soldiers. 3. Stock market came back [Lorne] Somewhat yes..but why..weak dollar? [Ben] Stock markets reflect the health index of each country. No one would invest a country if the country is weak. 4. Passed the Health care plan [Lorne] On Christmas eve? with a democrat controlled congress? And Not one Republican voted for this monstrosity. And who knows this may not be an accomplishment of the socialist left under obama's control. [Ben] I see Congress is a unit. It represents the majority of the Americans. If the majority of the people want to have the health care plan, the Congress and the President should find a way to meet the demand. [Ben] I am not sure the current Republican candidates could have the same achievements if they were the President in the last 4 years. Also, I think Obama is the smartest one among them with a 4 years presidential experience. [Lorne] obama is the most devious, dangerous to America, any so called achievements were due to congress and senate control by far left socialists President Bush did not need a teleprompter to talk to grade school kids... obama did need a teleprompter...ya real smart, look at some of the videos of obama without a teleprompter...a disgrace to America [Ben] The people (Congress), the President, and the Court will have their fair shares to decide the future of this country. The democracy will show the current needs for the majority people. When the country is getting aging, the socialism maybe is the direction. However, Americans should be smart enough to avoid the downfall of the socialism and may create a new system to meet the demand. Our responsibility is to elect the smartest and the most honest candidate into the office so that the “new system” could be born. Please tell me, who is the smartest and the most honest one among the current candidates?
