During the Cuban Missile Crisis, the closest we've ever come to a massive nuclear war, my family sat around the kitchen table and my mom and dad discussed backyard fallout shelters advertised in the back of Popular Mechanics magazine. We weren't sure we'd have time to make it to the community shelter in the school basement a few blocks away. I was ten. These people worried about terrorists are pussies.
