There is a clear line for me between the anti-Obama stuff regarding choices Obama made, and the Obama bashing about stuff that is literally beyond his control (mostly stuff stuck in Congress). Whenever I read the gripes - and I don't read them all here, far from it now - I judge whether it's something Obama actually could have done differently or not.

Within those boundaries, there is room to criticize any politician. From what I can see, Obama tried to do most of what he talked about in the campaign, and succeeded in a healthy chunk of it. Most of the rest was torpedoed by an intransigent opposition. And some of what he catches hell for, like working across the aisle and escalating in Afghanistan, was EXACTLY what he said he would do in the campaign.

I don't blame Obama for who works down the street from him like some do.
