Great observation sir!

They're hard to beat. I do like my pocket size .380 too, though.

especially since I don't carry a purse! LOL

Thank you! Your advise for non-experts appreciated.

My wife and I often take walks in some pretty quiet, rural areas. During those walks I often carry a gun. Our concern is not so much about bad guys as - potentially - about dangerous animals. I never saw any, but there is talk about some nasty wild dogs living in the area. There are some wild boors. Not long ago, a friend's motion sensitive camera took a picture of a big mighty cougar killing a deer - right by his deer stand.

I agree with that. I like guns with hammers, but they could snag clothing or anything. Bad news for self-protection.

There are holsters that could be clipped to a partition in a purse, and a woman who carries would be well advised to get one if she doesn't want to use a specially designed purse.

I am convinced a hammerless 38 revolver or (for more experienced shooters a 357 revolver) is perfect for a primary purse gun.
