You are comparing an orgnization, the IRS, that thanks to republicans, doesn't collect taxes from nearly half of the population. With the EIC, the IRS actually pays people.

Also, the survey you referenced only involved people who filed electronically in 2009... those with the simplest returns.

I'm still waiting for you to make some kind of connection between airline travel when airlines were regulated by the government and airline travel for all of time since the airlines were deregulated.

I have shown you the dramatic increase in airline passenger miles and you have given us ...???. Some lame comparison to the IRS 30 years after deregulation.

Is there a meaningful comparison in our future?

Lets also remember the IRS from 1978... the year deregulation was signed into law. Tax rates of Jimmy Carter were near 70% with tax loop holes and shelters utilized by nearly everyone to lower their taxes.

The hey days of liberalism!
