I've come to the conclusion only recently that if a person isn't hooked up and as you say "paying attention" they are going to be sorely left behind. I go out of my way to read what my liberal friends are writing on fb. I read liberal news sources occasionally so I can be more informed and understand the opposition. I am convinced that most liberals/progressives have absolutely no interest in reading what the right has to say or understanding their position. This refusal (and laziness on their part) leads to confusion and frustration and in this age of instant messaging and Internet content, this can only be detrimental to their growth. Peggy Noonan was a great writer in the 20th century, but unfortunately for her she stopped learning and growing somewhere in the beginning of the 21st century.

I don't know why, but it's obvious.

'Those who oppose him' are generally those who are paying attention, and those who simply want government to get out of the way.
